kdmonk1
I recently changed my category page images to be another size using the Back Office Module -> Preferences -> Images -> Home Default (304X379) What I have noticed is that the images are little bit bigger, there is either a background or padding on the top and bottom of the padding. Any thoughts on what could be causing this? (Attachment added)
vekia
size of images that you uploaded aren't proportional to sizes that you defined in settings. it's not possible to create rectangle from square, this is why there (top, bottom) you can find white color. images must be in size that is proportional, only then you will avoid this. Thanks Vekia, I change the size of the image and it is now showing correctly on the category. I assumed that if the image is already 800X800 that it would compress down to that size. What I see at the moment is that the product page image now has spaces on both sides since I change the image size from 800X800 to 450X500. Is there something that I am not understanding in order to fill in the product page? I believe the category page image and the product page image are the same image which is why it looks empty. Any thoughts or advice on how I can fix this? I would assume going up in size maybe to 1000X1000 but I am not sure if the category page of 450X500 would show correctly. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for your advice Vekia, I was able to cut the image to 1200X1500 and that did the trick. Now I notice that the product pages have gaps on both sides. If the previous image of 800X800 worked fine, what could be the cause of the image not showing correctly? I will send you a PM.
