[SOLVED] Google Analytics issues

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody,

I'm not sure if it is the correct forum to place this post but here we go...

I'm experiencing strange issues on google analytics in two different sites that I manage. I will explain both cases.

Site A: http://nutri-cosmetica.com

By chance, saturday afternoon I saw a new update of the google analytics module, and after applying it the site went down. Fortunately I could manage to fix it with this thread: http://www.prestasho...l-front-office/

Apparently all the analytics parameters are OK, however I realized that yesterday (satudray), the "rebound index" has suddenly increased with no sense:

Now I'm in doubt if the issue is previous to the analytics module update or if it is a consecuence of the update.

Site B: http://www.farmaciagava59.es

The other case is still more strange. This site was working in PS 1.5 since 4 days ago when I updated the site to PS 1.6 and instaled a new theme. Everything Works fine... even google analytics did!

But a pair of days ago, I realized that google analytics stopped working: No real time stats, no visits counter registrations... As you can see at the attached picture, on friday there is a sudden decreasing on registered visits which is actualy false because the real visits has increased due to the new site promotion!

In this case the google analytics module was also updated yesterday (I though that maybe it would fix these issues with no luck).

I've looking for some help at forums but I could not find any useful information.

I would appreciate any help...

Thanks in advance!

Fortunatly I've found an easy solution from somebody with similar issues:

http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/386446-google-analytics-202-not-tracking-after-update/

It fixed the real time issue, now lets see if it also fixed the rest of the issues... I will post it tomorrow

Hi there,

Could you post a few instrucctions for a newbie?

I just drop this folder contents

/cache/smarty/cache/

/cache/smarty/compile/

and /themes/default/cache/

I don't receive information in analytics for a 4 days ago.

As far as I know when manualy clearing cache you should empty those folders and subfolders except for the "index.php" files on them.

However if you have PS 1.6 you can go to BackOffice/advanced parameters/Performance and looking at the topright you will see a button (empty cache) that will do the job for you.

Edit: Bad news for me... after apply the fix it seems to work properly, however I've check it this morning and there is no Real time info again....  so I suppose that the website is not registering any data :(

It is very strange, but this morning the issue of the real time has reappeared... there is no real time info.

The other issues could not be check until 24h.

I have repeated the fix solution (reinstall analytics module and clear cache) but it doesn't work this time... it is very strange ¬¬

Thx for tip about cache ;-)

I see my  mysql table "ganalytics" empty all time. I don't know want type of information will store there.

Analytics account I see

"ID de seguimiento Estado: recibiendo datos"

(Creo que en inglés será más fácil que alguien aporte la solución ;-) disculpa mi pobre inglés)

Hi!

Yesterday I've tried to uninstall/clearcahe/reinstall module a pair of times in both sites and today I can see this:

On site A the Rebound index shows a significant recovery to its normal range:

On site B, it seems that all the parameteres (rebound, visits, etc) are also recoverying... however Real time monitoring still doesn't work <_<

Hi, I think that the issue related to "|", is not related with google analytics... so maybe you should post it in a new thread.

Finally I've fixed the problem... After entering Google Analytics account I realized that there was an alert that said something about "not recieving data", I entered the configuration options menú and checked all the parameters.

Actualy the parameters were OK so I didn't change any of them, anyway I save the known configuration and then I realized that the real time monitor was working again.

So I'm not sure if that fxed the problem but that's what I did :)

Hi again.. I have to say that it seems that time monitor is still not working properly.

When I go to google analytics panel --> Administrator --> view config and then I save the parameters (even whithout doing any modification on them), then Real Time Monitor (sometimes) starts to work again... But it only last for a few hours until it stops working again.

So I can't uderstand what's wrong with it....

Hi!

Well finally I've fixed it... I think it was a problem related with views inside analytics pannel... I realized that there were some views that were not properly configured, so I went to Administrator --> view configuration and I've check all of them.

Actually I've only changed a pair of parameters related with the timezone.

But after doing that... real time monitor had never stopped working :D

Hi,

Did you try the solutions posted?

Here you will have more info of the same issue: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/386446-google-analytics-202-not-tracking-after-update/page-2?do=findComment&comment=1907772

In summary first of all, uninstall the module, then clear cache from server, then reinstall the module.... usually that would fix the problem.

In my case I had to repeat the process 2 or 3 times until I realized that my issue also came from the need of "save configuration" on several views in the analytics webiste pannel.

Hope it helps for you!

  • 5 months later...

Hi everybody,

Same problem here after updating G.Analytics to the last version (2.1.1) - No orders tracking, the rest is all ok (trafic, users, sessions,GOALs,etc)

But the BIGGER problem is that, on order confirmation page I see a blank page and the meniu is messed up.

On review order page:

Order%20review.png

Then, the order confirmation page:

Order%20confirmation.png

Do you have any idea why is this happening?

I whould really like to benefit from G.A enhanced commerce features and I hope there is another solution instead downgrading to a lower G.A. version..

Thank you all.

PS: I use the 1.48 Prestashop version
