Grouped Features

Hi. I want to create a module that changes products feature display mode to grouped rather than this plain simple mode. 

for this I found a module which is kind of old (v1.2  v1.3), and I tried to follow it's footsteps. but it uses a AdminCatalog.php file which doesn't exist anymore. (since 20 OCT 2011 according to prestashop revision history see this) 

I'm new to prestashop but I have a good knowledge of php and programming. please help me!!!
