fairdinkum
I need help! Last week I had Prestashop 1.5.6.1 installed by a third party. I asked for the latest version but 1.5.6.1 was the only version compatible with my template. After the install I came across the 'undefined' error when trying to upload product images. I came to the forums and found this topic http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/294388-solved-error-undefined-uploading-product-image-in-version-1561/ and applied the changes to fileuploader.js and it worked great. Some mistakes where made during the initial configuration of the store and we asked the third party to reinstall so we could start fresh. Once again they installed 1.5.6.1 and we proceeded to add categories and content. Then when I went to install product photos I got the 'undefined' error again and thought no worries I have the solution already. Modified the fileuploader.js file again but this time it doesn't work. I don't know a great deal about computers but enough to get by. The odd thing is I have 2 fileuploader.js files. One is at mystorename.com/js and also one at mystorename.com/prestashop/js. I have tried all sorts of editing combinations of the 2 folders but no luck. Example: mystorename.com/js/fileuploader.js - left original mystorename.com/prestashop/js/fileuploader.js - edited mystorename.com/js/fileuploader.js - edited mystorename.com/prestashop/js/fileuploader.js - left original mystorename.com/js/fileuploader.js - edited mystorename.com/prestashop/js/fileuploader.js - edited I hope someone can help...happy to provide links if required. fairdinkum
OK this has been resolved. I worked on this for a few hours on Sunday to no avail. When i got to work on Monday I was showing the error to a colleague and lo and behold the images uploaded on my work computer. When i got home I ran CCleaner and it started working fine. I don't know a great deal about computers but I assume the error was caused by an old .tmp file or similar from the initial install?
