mustafaerdinc
Hello, After playing with Virtuemart and Magento I decided to give it a go to Prestashop. I am about to start a project with following projection: 20.000 Products 4.000 Visitors / Daily I need to plan every detail with sustainability in mind. Sometimes store would hit about a 10.000 visitor at once to buy limited offers, such as big discounts for a Smart TV. I am planning to go with dedicated server with following specs: Intel Core I5 2400 3.10GHZ 6MB 750 GB SATA 8 GB or 16 GB RAM Linux Centos 6.5 + CPANEL WHM (ISO) Will this server handle Prestashop with high availability? I am also thinking about Amazon RDS MySql. What do you suggest? Thank you so much for your time and precious comments. It is really important for me to create a flawless, fast, reliable and sustainable store. Best Wishes and Happy New Year

Mr Rick
Hi, My personal experience tells me you should go with prestashop because magento is really slow and will require extra cache modules to speed up.
musicmaster
No one can answer your question because it depends on much more than you mention. Which modules do you use, what theme do you have, how big is your internet connection, etc. Of course there is no one in the world who has exactly the same configuration as you. Also there are several tricks and tools to make a slow site faster. My suggestion would be to search on this forum for performance related questions. That will give you some feel of the subject. There are several performance experts who regularly visit this forum. To attract them I would suggest a more specific question where the header makes it clearer that this is about performance.
