PayPal Module 3.8.0 : Store product amount and PayPal amount different

Hello all,

 

I have encountered a problem I can't understand the cause of.

 

A customer placed an order for a product that cost £39.99 and all the store confirmation and BO shows that amount, however, on the PayPal side the amount went through as £64.38. The store (currently PS 1.6.0.6) has been running for many years and the product is not new. I have tried to replicate the order but can not get the £64.38.

 

The only change I have made recently was to update the PayPal module last week to 3.8.0. But other orders since then have gone through correctly.

 

Has anyone else experienced this or knows the cause? Or how I can find out what happened.

UPDATE:

It appears the that customer changed the store currency from GBP to DOLLARS, but when they got to PayPal instead of showing $64.38 it changed to £64.38. The same is true if Euro are selected it shows £75.98 instead of €75.98.

 

Can anyone any one else confirm that there is a bug?
