[Addons Team Question] What does the 'Support' link do?

In my seller account, when I view 'My Products' I see a 'Support' link next to each of my modules.

 

When I click on that link, it sends me to a contact form, where I can contact myself.  Can someone explain the point of this?

Of course the point is not to communicate with yourself

 

We had a few contributor asking us for that information before the product was online so they could communicate it on their documentation or to some customers.

So you mean the intent is to allow me to copy the link so I can provide that link in my module/documentation?

Ok, no response but I assume I understood correctly.

 

However, don't you think it would make more sense to provide a link so that I can easily contact the addons team about one of my own modules?  I would imagine a support link in my seller account would open a contact form addressed to the addons team with my module automatically referenced.  This would be quite useful in scenarios where a module is declined and I need to request more information about the decline.

 

I would find that much more valuable as a seller.

Yeah you understood correctly.

 

Well actually your request is already here. Our contact form allows you to contact us about one of your product anytime.

Also, when one of your product is declined, you receive a mail with the reasons + a link to answer us to discuss about the decline.
