Mjonglang
Hello, I am practising with changing productlist view, from grid to list ( http://mypresta.eu/en/art/prestashop-16/grid-to-list-products-view.html). For this you need to edit the code of a script file and I read this warning on top of script file: Do not edit or add to this file if you wish to upgrade PrestaShop to newer versions in the future. If you wish to customize PrestaShop for your needs please refer to http://www.prestashop.com for more information. So, can you tell me how to keep up to date in future while also changing scipts manually? NemoPS
The only way is to clone the default-bootstrap template and rename that. But of course, this clone will not be updated. There is no way to preserve changes and update the template at the same time time
Mjonglang
Hi Nemo1, Thanks for your reply. I guess changing scripts is a common thing you PS guys are doing, or am I wrong? That means in this case: make a clone of the default bootstrap --> change script --> after a needed/wanted update make clone of updated default again and --> do same change in script, is that the way to go in future? How to tell the page which bootstrap to use? The only way is to clone the default-bootstrap template and rename that. But of course, this clone will not be updated. There is no way to preserve changes and update the template at the same time time
