missing currency block from display heady

the currency block is disappear from the header despite hooking to it, why? the cartblock is also missing. how to get them back

Whatever i tried, the cart never returns, so does the currency tab. I have 2 currencies. The blocks are hooked to the right position. I didn't edit any of the block. I manually delete all files from cache>smarty>compile. Is it possibly the cause? Please, anyone help me.

I am also missing the currency block. It was on top next to the language. I have setup 3 currencies. Where should I check?

raagau, I ended up re-installed prestashop. Guess some files are missing during the file transfer. It solved my problem. You may try upload backup files and folders again. I am not sure though, just guess. I'm also new to this css and website thingy.

Kook kai, I would rather not do that. I actually found the issue, in my case. It was the Catalog mode wa turned ON so it disabled everything related to payments including currencies. It is fixed now.

Today I want to test PAYPAL (it seems to be given an error) and the other checkout methods in which, I should be able to go live soon.
