Please Help ! hide header on idex page

hello everyone, hope you are are doing well.

I was hoping someone can help me. I need to get a site launched by tomorrow morning, but i am having 2 issues.

1. i cant get the header to hide from the index page. I have hidden all the modules from index.php and used the admin editor to create the index but i cant seem to hide the header from it.

2. I have created an image for the items listing, and, its seems that it is also picking up on the index page, which i am hoping it wouldnt

the other small problem i am having with the cart pages is, i removed the breadcrumb code from the files, but there is still a white area above the products where the breadcrumb used to be. How might i get rid of this?
