ivantw
Hello, I installed a module for Facebook & Google Analytics. Is there a way to input my Twitter tracking code in my webpage? Does Anyone know which page will register? is it orderdonfirmation.php or is it the (.tpl) page? Can I do this from Greasemonkey or would I need to implement it via the page in an editor like Notepad++? I am not going to purchase another module to implement one piece of code, so I'm looking for someone who can point me to which webpage to input the code and let me know the easiest way to do it. Thanks! -Ivan **I'm tracking purchases** Edited November 21, 2014 by ivantw (see edit history)
ivantw
Great! Solved this myself! Thanks for the Help ME! Thought I'd post the solution here. I just took the twitter tracking code and added it to both the orderconfirmation.tpl file (under the current theme) in the header <h1></h1> section and I also added the tracking code/tag in the orderconfirmation.php file. I tested the confirmation url immediately and then waited overnight to see if things would register. It does. It appears in Twitter (maybe in other social media sites as well) it takes awhile for the tracking tag to actually register the page visit. Once you have inserted the tag on the pages, (not sure if you need to do both the tpl and php page, but I did both to cover my basis) and have visited the page, give it overnight and then check back to see if the pixel is registering properly. Thanks for the Help ME, I hope this helps out anyone else who has this issue. I surmise this may also help others with Facebook pixels and other social media tracking code. -ivan
