Variations and Quantities ?

hi,

 

i am wondering how to solve the following problem

 

we have items we want to offer with a gift service ... so the gift service is for single items and not for the entire order (which means the built in gift service feature can not be used here because it is for the entire order)

 

for example: we have item A which has the variation gift service yes/no

 

this item A is in our warehouse with a total quanitity of 100 ... the gift service does not change our quanitity

 

so if customer 1 orders 5 and selects gift service yes then the stock quanity gets down to 95 and if customer b orders 7 with gift service no then the stock quantity gets down to 88.

 

but this is just theory because the presta shop system does not give us the option to set a general quanitity for this item of 100 ... we have to set a quantity for each variation

 

this we don't want to do or can't do because we don't have 50 gift wrapped and 50 not gift wrapped but have 100 which we can gift wrap or not depending on the customers choice

 

so ... does anyone have a solution for this
