Help! Duplicate Languages (id_lang)

I'm not sure how this happened.  In my store we have only one language is ps_lang.  It's English.  So there's only id_lang 1 listed in that table.  I noticed though that my products and other items now have id_lang 2 and id_lang 3.  What could cause this?  How can I fix it?  We noticed this when we saw that the country select drop down had triplicate countries.

is this a multishop?  that is all I can think to ask.

No we only have the one site.

Same problem here , I have PS 1.6.0.9 only one language installed multistore and ps_product_lang is like :

 

id_product        id_shop      id_lang

61                         1                 1

61                         1                 2

61                         1                 3

61                         1                 4

61                         5                 1

61                         5                 2

61                         5                 3

61                         5                 4

 

even before and if I unistall the multistore  the result is the same ( minus the id_shop 5) which is the multistore one , but the languages remain as it is ...so I have 4 entry for every product .
