Auto install not working

Hi

 

I have just uploaded prestashop to my server (over 4 hours when the instructions say few minutes!!) and I cannot get to the install page.

 

If I enter my web address I get the hosting company's holding page. I have installed within a folder called "shop" and if I try to access that folder www.mydomain.co.uk/shop I get a HTTP404 error. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

run a small test first. Create a simple .txt file and write something in there, upload it to /shop and try accessing from url.

If it doesn't work, the space is misconfigured, ask your hosting. If it does, check for any index.html in that folder and erase it, and delete all htaccesses there as well
