AlbertoV
Hi, I think I have a problem with one of my 2 prestashop websites. The first one notify me about new modules version and allow me to update them. The second one don't do the same, so I'm not able to upgrade them. I'm referring also to standard modules like the horizontal menu... If I manually click on "Check updates", it always told me that there are no modules to update. No error are reported. Do you have an idea of what I can check to find the problem?
dioniz
Check if updated modules have same version number on both sites.
AlbertoV
This is the problem. The version between on website and the other one are different but one of them doesn't notify me about updates. This problem appeared 1 month ago but I really don't know how to investigate or debugging to find the problem
AlbertoV
Does someone can help me in debug?
EWjohndo
AlbertoV did you solve the problem, and if positive how? I have had the same issue for some month, and module updates are enabled, I've cheked: ADMINSTRATION > Preferences option > GENERAL > Automatically check for module updates=YES. I am running version 1.6.0.
AlbertoV
No... I didn't solved the problem. The only thing I notices is that when I try to install some new modules (released by prestashop), I'm getting the message: "this module is not available for your country". I really don't know what to try to find the problem...
EWjohndo
OK thx for the information. I can install "new" modules, I just have to search for them, and upload the zip file. Just did it with the Paypal module from version 3.7.2 to 3.8.1, and even though I asked Prestashop to search for new udates it didn't find any. Only a mail fra Paypal triggered me. Strange I hope somebody would come up with some suggestions to try.
EWjohndo
Hello AlbertoV Take a look in this thread: http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/PSCSX-3650 Here they say that you should delete to files from direcotry /config/xml/ remove files:default_country_modules_list.xmltrusted_modules_list.xml I did so, but I still didn't have any modules to update. Then I opened default_country_modules_list.xml, which were only 32kB, and here I saw this code: -
htmlbox
which suggested that it was the htmlbox module causing to problem. I uninstalled it, but stil no updates. Then I installed a newer version made by Vekia from this forum, and now I have 25 modules to update. This only to tell you, that what ever modules name there is in the default_country_modules_list.xml file, might cause the problem. Give it try. ysco
I also have the same issue and I thought that my module caused the suddenly arised problem. Will try and hope this solve my problem also. Thanks for sharing this fix ysco..

vekia
as i mentioned in forge: make sure that you use always up to dated version of the module exactly as EWjohndo mentioned: which suggested that it was the htmlbox module causing to problem. I uninstalled it, but stil no updates. Then I installed a newer version made by Vekia from this forum, and now I have 25 modules to update.
