Module Top Menu - displaying submenus on mobile devices

Hello all,

 

Basically I have a store with a menu that displays the submenus on hover. Using the default "top horizontal menu" on prestashop 1.5.3.1.

The issues is that as on mobile devices there is no hover, the submenus never open, because when users tap on the main menu it instantly opens the linked page.

 

I want to implement double tap, so when users tap the first time it will display the submenu and then on the second tap it will opens the link. 

 

Does it make sense?  

 

I've been trying to solve this problem for a while but nothing works, can anyone help please?
