streetwear
Hello, I am running PS 1.5.6.1 and I seem to get an object thrown error when I move fast between products, forward / backward with the browser on the same product (page doesn't fully load, when I go back or forward). I am looking to pay for this to be fixed permanently. Thanks Edited November 10, 2014 by streetwear (see edit history)
CartExpert.net
Hi. This sounds like a server side issue. Are you on dedicated or shared hosting? How many products and images do you have on the site? RegardsRobin.
streetwear
Robin, Thanks for your reply, I thought I attached a photo of the error. I have about 6000 products and you could probably triple that figure minimum for images. I am on a vps which is pretty powerful with 8gb of ram. CartExpert.net
Hi Mike. You need to check how the resources are been allocated on the VPS and adjust accordingly. You can do this from the php configuration editor. You need to adjust the resources accordingly hope this helps. Regards. Robin.
streetwear
Robin, Thankyou, I take it I am looking for something that will be set to its limit? Mike
CartExpert.net
Hi Mike. As this is not one of our servers and we do not know your configuration it is hard to say exactly what you should change. We host over 300 PrestaShop installs for clients across our servers. In all instances the servers are configured to handle the demands of PrestaShop which has become more resource demanding over time. before doing anything suggest you use this cpanel docs link to understand how things work:- https://documentation.cpanel.net/display/ALD/WHM+FAQ Regards. streetwear
Robin, I am afraid i have no clue what to do, I have however changed some settings, I thought that an error thrown message was generally an Ajax issue ? Thanks Mike
CartExpert.net
Hi Mike. It is normally a java script error and in your instant most probaly is because of a runtime issue. This is why we suggested looking at the php configuration. Regards.Robin Edited November 11, 2014 by CartExpert.net (see edit history)
