Davie Smith
I've searched on here and found a very old post relating to something similar, but given that we're now on 1.6 rather than 1.5 I've started a new thread. My site has new £0.00 value carts automatically created every minute or so... Between 50 and 80 carts per hour and I'm 100% convinced that they are being created by bots. Can anyone assist me in confirming and resolving this please? According to my dashboard, I'm using version 1.6.0.5.
El Patron
the best way to figure this out is to get access to your access log, this is accessed from your hosting control panel. It logs all inbound and outbound http requests. if you can find the http requests that are creating the carts, and is one or a couple of 'same' IP's then you can look at blocking the ip's. if you can not find your access log in hosting control panel contact your hosting company for help. Gipielle
But the question is: Why a cart of zero value is created ?
obewanz
check your cpanel, there may be an IP blocker that you can use there as well.

LauraPresta
and... i'm very sure : 66.249.64.238 googlebot create empty carts... should we block such mastergod bot ?
obewanz
you may want to check and make sure your robots.txt file has the following lines: # Private pages Disallow: /*controller=cart Disallow: /*controller=order Disallow: /*controller=order-opc Disallow: /*controller=quick-order # Files Disallow: /*cart #Disallow: /*order Disallow: /*order-opc NOTE: I have Disallow: /*order commented out in the FILES section because I have products that use that keyword in their url. This may not stop all ghost carts from being created, but it should cut down on the likelihood of "god bots" potentially creating them.

LauraPresta
Hello again.. This is very weird because i never really had this problem.. and everything was fine in robot.txt. I check with googlewebmaster tool and the link to addtocart are correctly blocked to google (for each language).. but i still see empty those many carts This happened since upgrade from 1.6.0.6 to 1.6.1.6 and the bot is almost always google : 66.249.76.27 - - [15/Sep/2016:01:29:15 +0000] "GET /fr/860-complement-capillaire-d-lace-dl2.html HTTP/1.0" 500 166 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 6_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/536.26 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0 Mobile/10A5376e Safari/8536.25 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html)" I have no really more clue exept blocking google which would be the worst idea ever ^^

LauraPresta
I finally found the problem, would be long to explain but it is due to a bug in a module (but not a public module), so it is nothing with prestahsop core. Thank you to you all.

obewanz
Care to Share the name of the module? ...and if you know, the code (or part of the code) that caused/allowed this to happen would be helpful as well.
