PayPal redirects to store's homepage, nothing helps!

Hello,

 

We have a MAJOR problem with the PayPal Europe module in our Prestashop installation. Every time PayPal button is clicked (be it Express Checkout, or payment option in the final stage of the cart checkout), the browser just redirects to the homepage of the store.

We've tried changing CHMODS (even to the point of setting EVERY folder in PayPal directory to 755, and every file to 644), but it didn't work. Today I've found a tip to try editing the file redirect.php, and noticed there is no such file in our installation; it couldn't be just deleted accidentally as the entire module was reinstalled about 50 times now, so we most likely have every file included in the install package.

 

What could be the problem? Any help will be really appreciated, because the issue already frustrated us to the point of considering migration from Presta to Opencart, or any other platform where PayPal payment simply works...

PS: We've tried contacting Technical Support - twice, but we received no answer.
