Ako
Hi, I'm currently banging my head through my wall... How is it possible to save a csv file in e.g. Excel, Open office or Google docs so the format remains the same and Prestashop succeeds to import the file? It works excellent as long as I haven't opened it in a spreadsheet program. Does anyone have a good link to explain this? RBK tried to help out in this thread but I didn't manage it to work http://www.prestashop.com/ Any ideas or tips on how to use spreadsheet with csv and Prestashop? Thanks
killeer
what part of the csv file changes when you open it
sharkey
I had this problem and it drove me insane. Problem was my excel. I downloaded Libre Office (free) and when I opened the CSV everything was in neat organised columns. Ako
After 3 hours did I manage to solve the problem. Excel, Open office and Google docs corrupts the Prestastore template when opened. The same goes when I tried to import the CSV file. Finally I got it to work when I started with an empty excel sheet and copy pasted all the attributes manually. Then I had to save the file as a CSV MS-DOS file. You can close this thread and hopefully my solution can help someone else
