this is an effect of bots/crawler activity

sadly, today we can't avoid these problems

all that we can do is deny access to website for these crawlers.

as  Gomlers mentioned-  you need to find IP address of these bots

Having the same problem.

Have to note that such carts appear only for products, listed at main page (new products).

Also, if we block IPs, won't it block the access of search engines to our site? At the moment I have only three bots, crawling my site, and get visitors from all of them.

I also face the same problem, but it does not occur for the time I am logged in it only happens when I log out and the next time I log in again I see the abandoned carts again. Please give a solution because I do not see any suspicious ips. Please help!!!

I had applied the disable add to cart module also, but then also the carts with same value get created.

You can see the attached images before logging out and the other one after logging in again

Hi,

I have the same problem, how can I find the IP address from that abandoned cart? And how can I block it? Sorry I am not very familiarized yet.

Thanks for your help-

That's a good question.. It would be nice to view the IP to the abandon cart.

Any suggestions?

adding ip to abandoned cart would be easy job, post in 'jobs' section, make sure to have a devcopy of your shop to test changes.  this is very easy change for young guns..get you a young gun to support small feature requests.....then when you really start selling come to us jajajajajja...but get yourselves someone that can implement small feature requests.

in the interim one can look at their apache or ngnix http log.  learn more here

https://www.sumologic.com/blog/iis-vs-apache-vs-nginx-logs/

for Plesk users, it's very simple (plesk is much more powerful useful than cpanel!)

also one can check their google analytics to see where traffic is comging from.  We have new client, in uk, 40% of their traffic was from Chicago, we went into https logs found the offenders and blocked them....I was happy as the seo 'experts' didn't not even catch that....but well I'm el patron lol
