lock-e73
Hi all, I've read many articles on this recently, but none are able to give specific instructions about how to do this. I'd like to have multistore running on a sub domain, not a sub folder, a sub domain. Default store: mydomain.com.au Sub domain. sub.mydomain.com.au NOT Sub folder: mydomain.com.au/sub I've set a parked domain in cPanel of sub.mydomain.com.au, and multistore runs, however it runs as a sub folder (see attached screenshot). Can anyone tell me how to make Prestashop multistore recognise a sub domain - sub.mydomain.com.au? I don't want to have to install another full version to the sub, as that would defeat the purpose of having multistore! Please help. Cheers, lock-e73

lock-e73
Hi El Patron, Thanks for your response, but I'm a little confused by it I'll be honest. In the PS 1.6 documentation, it clearly states the below: On the other hand, you can have as many shops on one domain name as you want: Using subdomains: http://men.example.com/, http://women.example.com/, http://kids.example.com/, http://pets.example.com/, etc. IconDo not create any subdomain or subfolder yourself, either on your server or your computer: PrestaShop takes care of creating the path for you on your server. When the customer requests this path, PrestaShop will recognize the shop and serve the files and data for the correct store automatically. I'm just not sure how to make Prestashop 'create the subdomain ...' within the parameters of the multishop configuration area. Can you please give me a bit of a step by step? Or, contra to the documentation, do I need to do something additional outside of Prestashop, like create the sub domain in cPanel? Any help with this confusing and slightly annoying matter would be very much appreciated! Thanks lock-e73
El Patron
it's a matter of how you are using your sub-domain, it not section of your shop, or a complete copy of your shop. note: multishop can be used many different ways, for multiplex same content, not portion of shop, say performance.etiendas.co but I use full share between shops, so I would use subdomain of my choice.. working example of adding a sub-domain, this example is eTiendas Germany note: i have after test deleted de.etiends.co I hope this helps your understanding. http://screencast.com/t/O8fP9Pdhbfo http://screencast.com/t/WNMgziYmE http://screencast.com/t/9wVMWDIJ3
