rgwhitaker
I'm running PS 1.5.6.2. I just got my SSL certificate installed yesterday. Now, whenever I go into the PS backoffice, on the login screen, the following error appears: SSL is activated. However, your IP is allowed to enter unsecure mode for maintenance or local IP issues. Is this just a general warning? How can I get rid of it so it doesn't appear? Also, in reading some messages on this forum, I notice that when some people get their SSL installed, they have the https when they go into the PS backoffice. I don't have that. In fact, I don't even have an http. My URL just reads www.primzie.com, then the rest of the backoffice URL. Do I need the https when in the backoffice? rgwhitaker
Oh. You mean in the Preferences > SEO and URLs page? So, would I enter the https before the Shop domain AND the SSL domain, or only for the SSL domain? Thanks! rgwhitaker
That works! Thank you! I just changed the bookmark in my browser so that it has an https in front of the URL to the PS backoffice. Will having the https cause any issues within PS backoffice? bellini13
no, it is designed to work with an SSL certificate. that just means you need to access your site using https going forward, that is a good thing.
