lateral
Hi Guys I have been "customizing" my Prestashop environment and theme (I am not using the default theme) quite a lot and I am concerned that when I upgrade to a newer version (I'm currently on 1.6.0.9) that all or some of my customizations will be lost. Can somebody please tell me what files I can safely modify and what files I definitely shouldn't modify? I am keeping a change log of what modules/files etc I have changed but it would be great if I did not need to redo them as a result of an upgrade... Thanks for your help. El Patron
anything outside of your theme folder can/will be lost...note if you use default theme that will change as well...

I would export the theme, then import with different name.. upgrade is could use work, i.e. not implement default theme post upgrade...but if you can switch back (though modules will change) then at the end of the day you will have your original changes, though you will have to reconfig (hook) native modules.. only do upgrades on copy of prod, practice there...good luck!
