sassbar
I use Prestashop 1.6.0.6. Some weeks ago I has found very large shopping cart (~ € 5000 and approx 50pcs of goods added one by one by id number). I has deleted this cart and immediately was created new one large shopping cart. I leave it for some weeks. Today at the morning (~10:00 O'Clock) I has deleted this large cart and after this immediatelly begun to creat new shopping carts. They are creat 1 - 6 carts every minut. In the each cart only 1 pcs of goods. I think that goods come one by one by id number. From this all I think that this make a robot (spider). Maybe any have a decision for this problem? Looking forward for help. SASS
thepan
Did you generate a robots.txt file yet? Under: "Preferences---->SEO & URLs" to the very bottom of the page. Press "Generate Robots.txt file". Also their are various thread for this topic in the forum all you need to do is search a little.
El Patron
along with good advice from thepan, from hosting control panel, look for the access log. this when avail will let you track down what is creating these creations, including IP address. With this information you can then possibly ban IP address (search on how to do this).
sassbar
Thepan and El Patron,Thank you very much for quick answer! Yes, I have robots.txt file generated by PrestaShop. After writing this message I has selected more items for Disallow in the "Modules---->SEO---->Google sitemap". In the "Indicate the pages that you do not want to include in your Sitemaps file:" I adds to disallow:Cart [cart]Guest tracking [guest-tracking] Like addition I has installed free module "ban ip free" but not used it yet:http://mypresta.eu/modules/administration-tools/block-ip-free.html By the way I has asked help from my host admin . At the 18:38:39 O'Clock was the last "spider" shopping cart created ( 3 hour ago). I has deleted them all (62 last carts) but new "spider" shopping cart not come yet (like befor - if I delete old, spider adds more new). My host admin write me that by logs it's can be User-agent: sukibot_heritrix. At the end I add two strings to the end robots.txt file: User-agent: sukibot_heritrixDisallow: / I hope it's all help me. I see tomorrow and in the nearest future. I hope this information is helpfull for other PrestaShop users too. Once again thank you Thepan and El Patron very much for so quick answer! If spider come back I write again.
El Patron
it will not make much difference (my prediction) if spider/bot is adding to cart (which is not nature of their existence) then they will ignore the robots.txt (tip: this is only read and followed by reputable bots), i.e. there is no sfw that will make them read and follow this file.. banning their IP(s) is good solution...but getting our hands on them, and putting their neck in a short rope, would be pleasing
hampersandpampers
this is so annoying i really need to sort these bots out adding to carts and giving me false stats on visitors. i need to get accurate results. also how stable is 1.6.0.14, i am slightly concerned as i am seeing more carts than before and stats are higher than before... i am sure customers do not look at my site at 2am in the morning... lol!
