simberak
Hello guys, I am building new shop and in future we would like to have it in more languages. With my first shop I have learned that if you start multilangual eshop later, it will make your indexed links broken, because it will insert for ex. /en/ into all your links... And is.... BAAAD So I wanted to ask you, how to make it in the beginning I want to have shop in czech language for Czech republic, then slovakian language for Slovakia and English language for all other country in the Europe. And I want to have all languages connected to one shop... So I have a server and database where will everything be stored in one shop. I want to connect domains to every language mutation, so I will have domain.cz then for slovakia: domain.sk and rest of europe: domain.com (or .eu) Can someone tell me, how to do this by the best? Is able to not have that /cs/ in links? And is able if someone swith the language at frontoffice through the flags so it will get to domain.com and not to domain.cz/en/? Thank you very much for the answer and help...
El Patron
good question! simply add language pack(s) of future language(s) then disable them from back office. then visit your front office you should now see shop default language as part of url. simberak
Hi El and thanks for your answer! That is the point, that I dont have that languages as part of url... Can I then redirect for example domain.cz/cs/ -> domain.cz and domain.cz/en/ -> domain.com ? Thanks
El Patron
never use redirect my understanding is you are building a new shop, yes? if so then you should start out with proper URL structure. I hope I understand your requirements.
simberak
Hello, yes, a new one so I have to use one domain.cz with that language inserts as /en/, /sk/, /cz/ ? Because I would like to have that /en/ version on domain.com, not domain.cz/en/

simberak
Probably I am noob in this so my expression is bad I understand that it will insert that language code.. And as you said, it will add that language code to original shop. So the original shop is domain.cz/cs/ But I would like to have domain.com which will show the content of domain.cz/en/, but it will still be the domain.com in the url... I hope I expressed it well this time ))
