Maybe the max execution time is set too small. Can you check if the white page every time comes up after a fixed amount of time, like 30 seconds? if so, you probably need to increase the MAX_EXECUTION_TIME in your php.ini file: http://php.net/manual/en/info.configuration.php#ini.max-execution-time Maybe ask your host for help with this.
