MrFalk
Don't want Prestashop to compress my category images or atleast dont compress them that much, since it effects image quality. Is there anywhere I can tell how much compression should be used?RegardsMrFalk
rocky
In images.inc.php on line 40, the image quality is set at 86% and on line 235, the image quality is set at 90%. You can try increasing these. If that doesn't work, perhaps you have an old version of the GD library installed? I think GD2 has higher quality than GD. rocky
No, images.inc.php is part of the Prestashop installation. It is in Prestashop's root directory.
MrFalk
Hi,i have found the file and looked at the lines that you suggested. My original image is .gif and i want Prestashop to create .png files, what should i do to accomplish that. Thanks for your quick responses.RegardsMrFalk
rocky
By default, Prestashop converts all images to JPEGs. There is no option in the Back Office to convert them to any other format. There is a modification here that converts images to PNGs instead.
