Multistore

I’m in the process of researching and building another store selling totally different products. I already have a successful store on BigCommerce, but I would like my next store built using PrestaShop and move my BigCommerce to PrestaShop. My other option is Magento, but my preferred option is PrestaShop.
 

I will use these stores as example to try explain what I mean baby.co.nz pet.co.nz and play.co.nz are linked with a tab at the top of the page so you can easily swap between the stores.  
 

For example you can buy nappies in the baby store, but then go to the pet store and purchase new dog bowl for your pet and then checkout with both items in your shopping cart, even though you login into the baby store, but use the checkout in the pet store. Will Multistore be able to accomplish this?

 

This would also give me the ability to cross promote both stores using a tab at top of the page so my customers can easily purchase from both stores.

Any advice / help would be much appreciated.

The setting is called "Share Orders" and has the following description

Once this option is enabled (which is only possible if customers and available quantities are shared among shops), the customer's cart will be shared by all shops in this group. This way, any purchase started in one shop will be able to be completed in another shop from the same group.

 

Warning: You will not be able to disable this option once you've started to accept orders.

Thank you for your reply, but does anyone know of any example websites where this has been achieved using PrestaShop?
