harial
So I am having numerous problems, not the least of which is that my modules page will not show up and I kind of need that. So I am thinking I need to do a fresh install. What I would like to know is if the database back up under the tools area backs up the products, customers, and orders... or if it only does the products. And if it only does one or two of those things, how can I back up the rest and reinstall without loosing everything? Thanks!
MrFalk
Hi,make a local installation of Prestashop on your computer and download the database from your shop and restore it to your local copy. This will tell you how much work you need to do.RegardsMrFalk
harial
I hadn't thought of that... Do you happen to know how I would I do that? Or where I can find out how?thanks again!
MrFalk
Download Wamp and install that on your computer, this will install a database and webserver on your computer. When that is done just download prestashop from http://www.prestashop.com/en/downloads/ and read the installation guides.RegardsMrFalk
harial
I installed everything... but I seem to be importing the databases incorrectly or something. Stuff is not uploading to the correct place and it is all gibberish. Do you know how to install the DB correctly?
MrFalk
To be sure that the database is backed up and restored correctly i would use phpMyadmin for both operations. And be sure that you have the same version of Prestashop on both installations. You may also want to copy the theme folders to your local installation.GL MrFalk
