simonrudd
I have implemented SSL with Force the SSL on all pages set off. Using the top horizontal menu (THM) module, the links are all http from any standard page and work fine - as do the footer links via CMS. Once you get as far as the checkout (which becomes an ssl page), the THM and footer links are all https causing a 404. Does anyone know how to get these links to be http? [fundraisingcards.co.uk] Thanks in advance.
vekia
this is default block top menu or some not default solution?
bellini13
What is the URL that receives a 404? And are you saying that simply removing the 's' in https does not give you a 404? What do you get when you try to open the sitemap.xml file using https?
simonrudd
Hi vekia, yes the default on 1.6 install.
simonrudd
Hi Bellini13, thank you for your reply. The failing url is https://fundraisingcards.co.uk/en/3-football From the index page, the first top horizontal menu link is http://fundraisingcards.co.uk/en/3-football as you would expect. All the footer CMS links are also http. But once you go to a secure page (for example checkout), you are on a ssl page. And when you click any of top horizonal menu links or footer cms links, the page attempted is https://fundraisingcards.co.uk/en/3-football and therefore a 404 fail
bellini13
The following link also produces a 404 page not found error, which is odd because this is a static file that should exist. https://fundraisingcards.co.uk/sitemap.xml This link however does work properly. https://fundraisingcards.co.uk/robots.txt I suspect you have added some rewrite rules that are causing this problem. simonrudd
I managed to resolve this by clearing cache. The ssl was added some 36 hrs after the shop went live (hosting account had to be upgraded to SNI to allow add-on domain ssl capability) and I can only assume the non-ssl pages were cached meantime. Chrisi1321
As you said the top horizontal menu gives you http pages. I Have turned on https on all sites, but the top menu produces http links instead of https links. Is this a bug, or can I edit this somewhere? If you want to check : https://www.aktiv-naturheilmittel.at/ Edited December 3, 2014 by Chrisi1321 (see edit history)
