Curran
Folks, Need a bit of help, urgently. I was attempting to disable the "Zip / Postal Code" as a required field in the registration process. I wasnt having any success, and now, customers are unable to register correctly. The follow error appears: "An error occurred while creating your address" I attempted to change all the files back to the original settings.... classes/Address.php classes/AddressFormat.php controllers/AddressController.php controllers/AddressesController.php controllers/AuthController.php Using the following site as a source: https://github.com/PrestaShop/PrestaShop-1.4 Now, however, the registration process errors out looking for a last name; it shows in the Personal Information, but not under the Your Address. So now, I dont know if the above has solved the original issue, and I just have this issue, or if Ive got two issues! Any help would be appreciated. Curran
Anybody with any suggestions - tried so many things now!! Is there any way of getting the original files, any that have to do with Registration and Addresses? For "Create your account", under "Your Address", I am now missing "Last Name" and "Company" (not such a problem) and I have tried Shipping > Countries > Ireland > Address Format and the settings are as follows... firstname lastname company vat_number address1 address2 postcode city Country:name phone Still having issues!! Curran
Ahhhh, fixed the problem with "Last Name" not appearing under "Your Address" However I've still got the original issue An error occurred while creating your address. When this error occurs, the customers Name, Email Address and Age, all appear, but none of their address details - where is this data populated from? Anyone got the original file...I may have changed it beyond repair, trying to resolve the other issues! Thanks in advance! Curran
PascalVG
Old versions can be downloaded here. Then just extract locally and look for file. http://www.prestashop.com/en/developers-versions pascal.
Curran
Thank you Pascal. Can you advice which files I am best replacing - I am not sure that the ones I tried above would solve the issue, or if there are potentially more files that need updating. Cheers! Curran
At this point, I have changed out the following... Classes Folder > Address AddressFormat Contact Customer Controller> AddressContorller AddressesController AuthController CartController FrontController MyAccountController OrderDetailContoller OrderOpcContoller What other folders should I change, or am I best deleting all folders and replacing them all; or do I risk loosing all customer information that I have already. Sorry, very new to all this, since the person who used to look after all our issues, no longer works at doing it!
El Patron
if you don't get this working, then upgrading to 1.4.11 is a good option as core files will be updated. Just make sure to follow complete back up of files and db before doing so. I've upgraded 1.4.6.2 to 1.4.11 several times without issue. http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS16/Updating+PrestaShop when you install the one-click upgrade module, click advanced and then you can select 1.4.11. jaychennai
update the database, table : ps_customer , set lastname to accept null values
Curran
How do I do that? If I go to ps_customer on phpMyAdmin; it is the database for all the customers - there is no way of changing settings.
