Possible bug? Demo products being randomly added to live orders!

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

We deleted the demo products, but we've noticed on live orders we are having these deleted items randomly added to live orders?

Someone for example ordered some dog food, and somehow they managed to order two dresses (the demo items) that we deleted before we started up the shop!

Please see attached screenshots.

I've even tried removing the items from the order but there is one demo item that will not budge.

Also, the order was today, but it has added a demo carrier charge from April.

Incredibly random and bizarre bug.

Thanks

And, how you have deleted the demo products?, if you has made this manually, maybe you have damaged the database, PrestaShop include a module for this.

Hi there, I deleted them through the Prestashop control panel as it's not very clear there is a removal tool. So I deleted them as you usually would any other product.

compare auto_increment values for orders (id_order) and for cart (id_cart)

i bet that some cart entries (for example cart products) still exists in your db

Thanks vekia I'll take a look, pretty disturbing if that's what happened.

But you cannot delete orders from the PS back office, there is not a delete button.  So if you added something to the order URL that would force the order record to be deleted, then that is the disturbing part.
