What are the wishes for Prestashop 1.7

It actually has always been very easy to rename manufacturers to brands, in BO translations. I have used "brands" on my website since PS 1.3

Ofcourse I could rename them, and I've done this in the past, but my point is that we need both 'manufacturers' -and- 'brands'. I want to be able to tag products with either. In the past I've been using categories, but for SEO (and other) purposes separate 'manufacturer' and 'brand' objects would be very useful.

For instance, some manufacturers carry brands that have completely different products, but on the other hand for some products the 'manufacturer' is better known by customers than the brand (or visa-versa) and we need to be able to target both. And clearly a 'manufacturer' and a 'brand' are not the same thing, so it would make sense to separate them.

Sorry, I thought you wanted to use brands instead of manufacturer. My bad.

 

Adding fields to the product page and makes those fields usable in filters would be nice indeed. Right now there's only the product features we can use as work-around.

You cannot currently add combinations or virtual products to a pack.
If you need to have packs with combinations, you will have to create single products for each combination. This is a known limitation that will be fixed in a coming version of PrestaShop.

This is really basic and necessary. PrestaShop has stopped evolving some features (probably because it believes they are not so used), but again, this is something basic and necessary.

1. I would really like to have the possibility to add a product with multiple suppliers - i mean with different supplier reference, price, discounts, vat and stock. I do not keep the products in my stock, i place orders to different suppliers when an order is placed in our shop. I would love it if the price and stock availability in front office would be shown for the lowest price and availability status of the "best supplier". And from there it could really be developed - in the order we could mark the product to be ordered from a supplier, to be put on a list of orders, etc.

2. Image import by csv, or even adding an image to the product page improved - i would like to be able to put a web link of the picture and to upload the picture from there.

 

3. Full edit of the orders - especially the carrier modification. Many of our customers choose one carrier, than change their mind about where they want the product to be delivered, etc. And they want to add another product, or to change the current one. After these modification are made by our employees we could send an automatic email with these changes and a link to confirm them by the client.

 

There are many more, but I am waiting for the first one for many years.

What I want to see is how Prestashop becomes one standalone e-commerce software, especially for large business.

This includes an accounting and stock-keeping.

 

So please make the Advanced Stock Management more handy

and fix the issues:

PSCSX-7609 - No decrease stock after order multiple items in advanced stock management with more than one warehouse

and

PSCSX-7357 - Order only shows one warehouse in products with two location

 

Imagine how useful Prestashop will be if you can have accounting, book-keeping and stock-keeping in one place.

Could a developer please reply if this is a feature planned for release in the 1.7 version?

hello

 

my wish are:

 

-let the shop owner option if some adress fields  like zip code or phone are mandatory or not

-It would be nice if the city field will be dropdown and owner fill a table with localities like states. in addition can help in determining shipping costs in some country

Prestashop has skip this feature allways. i have 2000+ products in my website. im allways get issue to fix prices daily... they have to add ajax feature for change stock and price in admin

 

i hope Prestashop guys will read this!

Dear Team Devellopers,

 

In de Comerce with products by example: music, games, comicbooks, books, tradingcards

 

It is disirable and usefull to have a option in Prestashop 1.7, that it will be able posible to give each product also numbers. 1 to 2000 or more.

 

The useability for a customer will be more nice and faster, So that they can search, sort their disired products.

 

- They can see by example (our store  sell comic books) how much comics of "" Asterix '''' there where made by the creators. Uderzo Goscinny

 

- They can see wich comic story title name, where made first, second, third, fourth ....etc.

 

-They can find their disired Number....if they don't know the comic story title name.

 

 

Sort Product by Number in a Serie descending or ascending

 

 

 

Please this if verry disireable and usefull for our store .

We think also verry usefull for shops with products, by example: music, games, comicbooks, books, tradingcards

have one more issue

 

forexample im selling " fifa 17 ps4 game"  when i search on search box...its showing the old fifa titles like fifa 15-16  etc

 

 

they have to change orderway as add_date but they show like default position....

 

 

note: we are typing here that improvements and necessary things...but im not sure the developers are reading all these things....

Support of multiple carriers during checkout. If a product requires special handling that cannot be combined with the shipping method of another product (such as bulky goods) it is.presently not possible to charge for two different shipping methods if the cart requires two separate shipping options.

Wishes from a payment module integrator. A table for payment_fees. 

The issue with prestashop is that it is no logic way to add a payment fee to the order without hacking prestashop or add the fee as a product which often the shop owner struggles with keep in stock and not visible on frontend. 

A simple table for id, order_id, fee_amount, tax had solved the issue, if it on the same time became visible through webservice and so on.

  • Better product configuration
  • Better language support
  • Blog integration
  • Configurable 404 page
  • Clean URLS
  • Better favicon support
  • Easier customizable checkout
  • Full site HTTPS support
  • Simple maintenance buttons
 
I would like to hear what suggestions others have. (mine will follow later - running late now).
 

 

2 Years has been gone, and ugly urls with ID's are still there.
Why are you all writing your wishes here, the CEO Team of Prestashop does something else instead of reading the wishes of communty

Hi guys,

 

on my wishlist is:

 

  • a working upgrade functionality built in PS from the beginning on - upgrading the platform should be a core functionality (e.g. the current 1 click upgrade is not working on PS 1.7) and reliably working at any point of time (incl. rollback funtioncality)
  • an improved module verification and encapsulation - currently I can install buggy modules on PS 1.7 and they block e.g. my complete modules section
  • more detailed error messages with clear stack traces (it's ok but not really satisfying compared to e.g. Java Development)
  • more detailed/existing documentations for data model, architecture, structure of the system
  • different password strategies in order to allow easier migration from other/older shop systems (which e.g. don't support salted pws)

 

What do you think?
