Configuring multiStore E-mail templates?

Hi

 

We have 2 stores and have placed a separate "mail" files in the root of each store. But when we make changes via translations to mail templates with specific changes for each store, we only get the e-mail template from one store.

 

What we would expect is the e-mail templates for store 1 being used for this store and the e-mail templates for store 2 using its template files..?

 

Have we missed something in the set up or is there a cache we need to delete (we have deleted smarty cache folder contents). ?
