(SOLVED)Hide Tag Block but keep it activated?

Hi, new here and hoping to get a little help with the tag block in version 1.2.4. I would like to keep the block active and working but have it unseen. The only way I can figure out how to do this is by somehow altering the code so the header image, footer image and block image are disabled and making the text colour the same as the page background. I have had a good look around and can find little information anywhere regarding the tags block.
Does anyone know of an easier way?

I have edited out the corresponding code that displays the header image, background image and footer image and made the text the same colour as the page background. Not a perfect solution but it works.
