Hi everybody, Rocky is correct that this is the easiest method of applying the discount, but it does not strike through the original price and show the discounted one. So if you don't care about people knowing about the discount, just using it, than this Default method works great. Just a issue to be fixed about the icons on the left of products and categories, in the admin, that shows diferentely if you are using IE, Firefox or Chrome... just a detail... If you can create a config file to install it properly from the admin and get it to the right place instead of in "other modules" category, it will be perfect. Again, thanks a lot guys! broadway34th Posted November 3, 2011 Share Posted November 3, 2011 Hello, I've tried the "groupdiscount.rar" module on Prestashop 1.4.3, and it was exactly what I was looking for! ...except it applied discounts only "some" of the products under a chosen category for some reason. I have a category "X" (with about 250products) that has 7 subcategories. I applied 10% discount for 1 day to this category, and confirmed that some products directly belonging to this category X were updated with the discount and some (which also belong to category X directly) were not updated. I erase all discounts and then apply individual discounts to each item. I will have to figure out a way to identify only the discounts that were previously generated by GroupDiscounts and wipe those out. I will work on that and have an answer in a few days. The other problem was that you repeatedly posted a link to a direct download despite multiple requests not to do so. I am glad by the interest. The original module was very helpful to me which is why I decided to update it to work with the new version of prestashop, and I will fix it so it can keep other special prices. yesiam Posted November 19, 2011 Share Posted November 19, 2011 Hello cesarpenafiel, the module correctly applies the discounts, but follow mewithout showing the products in the blockspecial, looking around I discovered that the problem would not generate a field to enter from quantities, ie the discount is applied but the quantities of products are zero (0) in price BO and that is why are not shown in the blockspecial, hence the error, thanks. I found "Tabs" (pestañas in spanish) under "Employes" (Empleados). And into "Tabs" (pestañas) I found Positions, Level 1 and Level 2. There I see "Groupdiscount" and "Salesanddiscount" and I can change the positions and they all appeared changed under Catalog, but not "Groupdiscount" and "Salesanddiscount" they don´t appear anywhere. Also, to understand the changes I have done, you could take a look at the original file and my modified file with a file comparator (like Araxis Merge) and see the differences. The main difference is with the fact that discounts are now stored in a separate and new table. I don't know that this would affect a bulk update module though, so there are probably other changes. But, like I said, if all you need is a way to update many prices at the same time, I added that feature into this module. But I have a problem, I installed perfectly, I include the paragraph catalog tab and click I get all the products but when I try to create discounts and save the changes, I keep none. The only think I could remark is that you need to make sure that the start and end dates are correct (in the current period) and that you press the Save button at the bottom. Also, if you want to double check and make sure that the prices are saved (and perhaps the problem isn't something else), go to the product screen (pick one product that you think should have been touched by your group discount change), and then click on the prices tab. There you should see current specific prices). If you don't see any, then indeed something didn't work. Is anybody else seeing the problem described earlier about a limit to the number of items discounted? (50 - 100)? I cannot think of how that could be possible. Hargi Posted July 25, 2012 Share Posted July 25, 2012 Sorry but i have one question, have a specials moduls 10% discount, and i have 2 groups a)default 0% discount and b)wholesaler 50% discount. How do I configure to ignore the group discount? So i see the product =60% discount but is not good! All products discount wholesaler 50% but special modul discount only 10% Do you help me? Cesar I didn´t notice that that´s right. I don´t see all the items in my catalog, only 50. And recently, I cannot save all the discounts. Is there any update??
