El Patron
check that you do not have bad file permissions in typical hosting folders: 755 files: 644 .htaccess:
san_merah
Which particular files/folders should I check? And what is correct permission settings for them?
El Patron
check that you do not have bad file permissions in typical hosting folders: 755 files: 644 .htaccess: 664 as mentioned these are typically the best for most hosting. because of bug in early release of 1.6, check all folders/files in modules. i.e. when there was upgrade of module your version sets folder/files to 777...that has been fixed. El Patron
got response from my host that qouted errors suggest programming error in presta uh...that is a typical response from hosting. did you check permissions as suggested? also tell us steps you took to create your test. (make sure you ftp'ed and did not copy files to test from prod as this can cause some file ownership issues)
san_merah
Haven't sorted out all permissions yet, some folder had 777. This is just a prestashop which was installed on this serwere as my test site so I could learn presta, I wasn't moving it so it is test but original:)

El Patron
please open forge report (bug) here http://forge.prestashop.com/ then please post back here the report url. thanks
Beck98
How are you. For future reference, this kind of error may be due to an incompatibility between the prestashop version and the php version of the server. Check that you are using the correct one.
