ct1976
Upgraded from 1.0 to 1.2.0 then straight to 1.2.5.Everything looks fine EXCEPT for all my products show in back office but without links working in the front office or images loading.Ive uploaded the back up of all my images and made sure that im pointing to the original database. ive set preferences to friendly urls.i am now seriously struggling and my shop has now been inactive for 72 hours!Does anyone have any ideas? Is anyone able to fix this problem to allow me to use the new 1.2.5 version with the original database? Doing a complete new add of all 2500 products my shop displayed will not only take weeks but potentially close my business.Any help would be appreciated. jhnstcks
Did you follow the upgrade instructions properly and regenerate a new htaccess file or did you just copy over the old file? If you have made custom alterations to this file you need to copy them into the new file after you have regenerated it it.There is a tool in the BO>tools>generate menu. Mr.E.
I did the same kind of upgrade (1.0 to 1.2.5) and had pretty much the same problem. So I deleted everything and uploaded my back up including database and all files.Only problem now is most of images are not showing. They point to some picture that isn't there, it's like the images havent been backupped or the name is changed. :-(
Mr.E.
Extra info: I know now that it's true that a lot of images haven't been backupped as we cannot see more then 2000 files with ftp. By deleting the old directory with the images I messed it up myself, so now I can import a lot of missing images again. But okay, at eleast the script runs like it was again.
