Advice on how to create products

I am very new to Prestashop and I'm creating a storefront for a customer that will be selling ammunition.  My question is how should I go about creating the products that they sell?  Currently, I'm creating a product for one round (which will not be sold), and then creating a product that is a pack of 50 of these rounds (the previous product I created) (which WILL be sold).  I was wondering if someone that is better acquainted with Prestashop could give me advice on whether or not this is the best approach for this type of situation.
