Whispar1
Hello, In PS 1.6.0.9 and using the csv import function, can anyone tell my if there is a csv import field that will update the availability date of a product combination? (See photo) The combination import does not have a field for availability date (not sure why) Note: The availability date in the product csv upload does NOT update the availability date for a product combination. Bottom line - the availability date of product WITH combinations and products WITHOUT combinations is NOT the same. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Whispar1
As an update, the only place the "available_date" for a combination exists in the database is in ps_product_attribute. The "available_date" found in the product csv import only affects ps_product.
benjamin utterback
Hi,unfortunately there is no solution that I can think of for this. A CSV will not dictate the availability dates of products with/without combinations. I also do not know of a module that does this function. Whispar1
Thanks for the reply Benjamin - I appreciate it. I wanted to confirm that the csv upload WILL do this for product without combinations. But, Just so I understand - the ONLY way to enter the available date for a combination is manually through the BO?
benjamin utterback
Yes, you can only say if it's available to order or not via CSV. The date will have be entered manually.
Whispar1
Thank you for the confirmation Benjamin. For the sake of discussion, what is the process to add this as a request? Providing customers with this information is widely used in eCommerce and this can only be a benefit for the Prestashop platform. For instance, if a shop has 2000 items with 3 combinations each, that is a lot of work to manually enter 6000 dates on a regular basis. I'm of course not a developer but in a layman's eye, since the date already exists in ps_product_attribute table, it does not seem too intensive to somehow add that one field into the csv import or no? Whispar1
Benjamin (or anyone who may know this of course) Can you please find out where in the database the available_date field is stored for combinations? Please see photo
