racemaniac
Tnx, what is the name of the configuration file ? and where is it located ? Weird thing is that changing ( enable - disable) Smarty cache is possibble, so permissions should be ok

racemaniac
are you running upgrade on a test shop? No it's my official webshop. But I think I found the problem thanks to indobusana I was able to edit the config/settings_inc.php and config/settins_inc.php and 1-click is running now. I also had to change a lot of permissions of directories ( img backup tmp ) to 777 for directories were not writable. Upgrading is now running, see what it brings
El Patron
1. it is not recommended to upgrade production shop but test 2. if you have to change permissions, then you apparently are running domain as group owner so if don't understand 2, then contact hosting for 1 it's highly recommended to follow the guide line and not take short cuts (i.e. prod upgrade first) http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS16/Updating+PrestaShop

Using Direct Admin I can make a complete backup with Installatron of PS for 1, I follow all the directions shown in 1-click upgrade. Did complete the upgade but the used Theme free_blue_presta15 seems not to be compatible with 1.6.x Also it appears most of the modules need to be updated right after the upgrade. Did a complete rollback. Next thing I'm going to do is find the compatible theme free_blue do the 1-click upgrade again update all modules install the updated ( if found) Theme Hope this will work out Edited September 22, 2014 by racemaniac (see edit history)
