dm
Hi,I'm noticing something when using "duplicate" for products in the admin systemDuplicate is very useful to allow standard product types to be created, and then duplicated and edited to be correct real products. Unfortunately I'm seeing the friendly URLs created based on the original product name.Eg. The template product is created as "Example product", which is then duplicated and edited to be a real product. (Eg: "iPhone 3G") The friendly URL of the product remains 1-Example-product.html , 2-Example-product.html etc (depending on the number of duplicates.) This is obviously not useful for SEO or for friendly URL purposes. This seems like a possible bug. Is there any way around this? or am I misunderstanding how it should work?I would have thought the best thing to do would be to regenerate the friendly URLs whenever a product is edited, but I haven't yet figured out how to change this. Thanks, dmar
afuniman
On the Info tab of your product scroll down to where it says "Click here to improve product's rank in search engines (SEO)" and open that link. Then, you can change the friendly URL to reflect the affected product.
