Upgraded from 1.1 to 1.2.0 then 1.25 - Cant get old database to link:(

Been at this for hours now:(

Upgraded from 1.1 to 1.2.0 something and then 1.2.5(?).

Everything looks great except that I cannot get the new verson to recognise the original database. I have changed the settings.inc.php to show original database and also changed it in the Preferences - Database. Each time I get bounced to the login screen where it doesnt recognise any email address as an employee, even though the wemaster email is showing in myphp under original database.

I have also tried to copy over the data from the test_employee table to the original ps_employee table - nothing.

I have checked my prefix is correct and even reset my sql access password, still no joy.

Does anyone have ideas, because im lost!!

used a passwr echo command i found on the net, now im in to the admin scene

however none of my friendly url links work from original site (added .htacess as blank then generated) and my home page from the text editor has completely gone.....I wish i had never upgraded.

now im stuck, cannot make the site live and have lost over 2500 products as they will not link.

Does nyone have any ideas before i start crying\screaming?!

tried uploading the old .htaccess file and im still not getting any link from the new site to the original url friendly product pages.

whenever try to do any kind of amendment on the original listings (to try to 'actvate' them again) im getting error;

an error occurred while updating object product (Unknown column 'indexed' in 'field list')

when i try to old link to the product I get - you do not have access to this product error message.

does anyone have any ideas please????

Have you tried to disable friendly URLs and remove the .htacess?

yes i did and it went from "product not found" to completely blank webpage

Try changing line 4 in config/config.inc.php to:

thanks but constant issues withtimezone and when you correct them-still nothing

im trying to go back to 1.1 now:(

sort timezone thing out- table was missing called timezone from orginal database - bloody products still not showing on front office even though on back office!
