ventesites
Hello I have a big problem, some of my customers reported when they add products in their shopping cart, nothing remains, cart always empties itself. My site is Prestashop 1.6.9, it's a migration from Zencart. It does this with both Firefox and Chrome, when i ask customer to emtpy cache and cookies, problem disappears. I believe it has to do with cookies from previous version (zencart) but I have no idea how to solve the problem Help ! Thanks Pat

ventesites
yes, i've tried just about everything and it's hard because, like you, I never encounter this problem.... for now I have disabled Ajax cart, i saw somewhere one having same problem and once Ajax cart was off his problem was solved I just cross my fingers... vekia
for me it also works perhaps your customer has got some browser plugin to block some cookies etc. ? it's worth to ask about that
ventesites
well, i bet you know as much i do it's really hard to ask a customer.... when (if) they answer it's so vague i can only regret asking. Having disabled Ajax cart should solve something anyway, clearly this shopping cart creates problems, i did have few myself when I installed Prestashop, wanted to keep it because it looks good but i am now back to regular shopping experience that might be safer for everybody and, perhaps, allow me a good night sleep... First i though problem had to do with cookies from previous version of my Zencart site but last email i received was not from a previous customer, it was his first visit.... El Patron
where did you get the theme? also, have you yourself ever been able to recreate the issue? When doing a little test, I noticed that 'cart' has update from PrestaShop, I do not know what the update does, fix/feature etc. also, so that the visitor who may want multiple items does not get distracted(annoyed) by being directed to check out when add to cart, change the behavior http://screencast.com/t/g1vVUW3k

El Patron
That's the setting I have , the theme is home made cloned version of default bootstrap what do you mean by "the cart has update from Prestashop?" when I was working with 1.6.0.9 test shop to get screen shot, and when in modules-->modules-->block cart there is button (where one would normally see config) that update is available. ventesites
I see, but my cart module is up to date, there is no other update available. I have never been able to recreate the problem, i did try hard : checking from various computers/OS and browsers, I have never encountered any problem with the shopping cart.....
