ps_orders shows the same reference code on 2 successive lines

In which cases does one get the same reference for 2 successive orders by the same customer? (2 succesive lines in the ps_orders table of the database)

 

Is this a problem?

Do I need to fix it manually in the DB?

Does it need to be fixed somewhere in the scripts?

 

NOTE :

Also similar = secure_key & id_cart, and many more

time stamps date_add and date_upd differ by a minute

are any of the products out of stock?  PS use to have the concept of splitting an order into multiple sub orders, usually if some products are in stock, and others are back ordered.  Or if the customer chooses to ship products using different carriers.

All in stock but one of the products is virtual, others are not - is it the reason ?

I guess so when I consider how it distributes
