[SOLVED] Showing disabled add to cart button when product is out of stock

On default PS show add to cart button when product is available, and when it is out of stock the att to cart button is hidden.

Is there any way to show always the add to cart butto, but when product is out of stock showing it disabled? For example grey and if clicked it show a custom message in fancybox.

DARKF3D3, I guess you want to allow purchases of a product which is out of stock?

If this is the case, go to B.O. >Preferences > Products > Tab "PRODUCTS STOCK" (scroll to the button) and enable:"Allow ordering of out-of-stock products"

 

Button add to cart will remain active for all the products on your catalog.

 

Edit: I see now the point, you want to get something similar to add to button on homepage (it is there but not active, greyish color). Then you should edit the code, get that lines and put them in relative point in product page with some modifications.

No, I don't want to allow order of products out of stock.

I simply want to show a disabled button, because sometimes the lack of the add to cart button confuses the customer.

Yes exacltly, something like the disabled button showed on product list.
