reallimk
Hi there,I've just tried to install PrestaShop on my Webserver. But on Step 4 it stops. there are no error messages and clicking on next just seems to do nothing. There is the statusbar in the header and after a second it's the same site again. I get a notification by mail but the installation doesn't go to Step 5.What can i do? is there a log file or something i need to check before the installation?thanks ThomasAfter clicking next several times i got the following message: Error while inserting data into the database:
Martin Velikov
This is most commonly a sign that the script times out while executing. I am afraid I could not help much without more information but if I properly understood it is your own web server. If so just increase the Timeout settings for it and the installation should go through smoothly.

affordable seo
I have the same issue. What did you do to fix this? I am installing on a sub-folder too by the way.
reallimk
hi,subfolder shouldn't be a problem.the first time i tried the installation i was behind a very strange proxy. Second try some houres later from my home office everything went well.I changed some folder rights and deleted the logo.jpgBut i think in my case the proxy was the problem.best regards Thomas
