Fix check-out bug version 1.5.6.2

We have an issue we've been trying to resolve on our cart for some time. There has been talk on the forum about several 'fixes' but none of them seem to work for us.

 

The site in question is Jesters.com

 

If you check out using the "Instant checkout" with google chrome, start typing your email address and allow the rest of the page to autofill (not the account fields above), the next page you get the following:

 

There are 2 errors

1. lastname is required.
2. firstname is required.

If you click in the firstname & lastname fields before clicking next it doesn't come up with an error.

 

I know the "easiest" way round this may be to to upgrade to the latest version but the client doesn't want to as they've invested a lot of time & money to get the cart to this stage & upgrading would require a complete redesign (we tried putting the cart on another domain and upgraded it).

 

I would be happy to pay somebody if they can fix this for us.

Hi Robin. Yes I can only get this issue to appear using Google Chrome (although you can't add anything to the cart in ie at the moment as my tech is trying to solve another issue.

Most probably this is a Javascript issue for an event that is not recognised in Chrome.

 

Have your tech to check it out.
