Get product combination by EAN and decrease amount

Hi,

 

I have a customer who sells his products on both the webshop and his local shop.

However, whenever a product gets past the counter, it should be updated on the webshop so it can't be sold twice while only having one item in stock.

 

So that's why I wanted to use the webservice, but I'm unable to find a product by EAN number with native utilities (correct me if I'm wrong).

 

Is there a way I can update the article so the amount goes one down? If suppose it would take two calls:

- one for lookup (GET)

- one to adapt (POST)

 

Am I on the right track here?
